One major flaw with iOS 11 was crackling audio on the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, and this was fixed with iOS 11.0.2.
So now we’re at 11.0.3. The update addresses issues with haptic feedback and the touchscreen. Here’s the official release note:
– Fixes an issue where audio and haptic feedback would not work on some iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus devices– Addresses an issue where touch input was unresponsive on some iPhone 6s displays because they were not serviced with genuine Apple partsNote: Non-genuine replacement displays may have compromised visual quality and may fail to work correctly. Apple-certified screen repairs are performed by trusted experts who use Apple parts. See support.apple.com for more information.
Apple is currently working on iOS 11.1, which is expected to coincide with the launch of the iPhone X next month. The update is set to bring new emoji, and possible Apple Pay Cash.
And the updates keep on coming. Just over a week after rolling out iOS 11.0.2, Apple has released iOS 11.0.3for the iPhone and iPad. The latest update also includes bug fixes for iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 6s.
iOS 11 was officially released to all Apple mobile devices on 19 September, with huge focus on the iPad. The big update introduced a slew of new features including a redesigned Lock screen, customisable Control Center, a more natural Siri voice, a redesigned App Store, new HEVC and HEIF codecs and an overhauled UI for the iPad.
iOS 11 is optimised for 64-bit apps, so 32-bit apps do not work with the new release.
No major release is without bugs of course, so users found the first dot update just a week after, on 26 September.
